Alec Mazo, a Russian born professional ballroom dancer, is best known for his participation in the first season of hit American reality TV show ‘Dancing with the Stars’. He paired with Kelly Monaco and the couple came in the first place. He has been dancing since his childhood. When he was at 12, his family moved to America and he was raised in San Francisco. His mother runs a dance studio and he runs the largest Youth Ballroom Dance School in California.

Alec joined UC Berkeley and graduated in Cognitive Science. He appeared in a movie named ‘Dance with me’ and has also been seen in several commercials. Alec admits that he’s very dominant and powerful man on dance floor and he focuses on the aesthetic side of performance. He married Paulina Porizkova in 2007 and the couple has been appeared together in several dance shows.
