Cheryl Burke is a professional dancer and has been nominated twice for Emmy Awards. She paired with Drew Lachey and Emmitt Smith in the second and third season of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ respectively. She won both times and is the only one professional dancer to win two ‘Dancing with the Stars’ competitions.
Cheryl is of Russian and Irish descent. Her whole family has an interest in dancing and they have a dance floor at their home. She has two sisters namely Mandy and Nicole and currently she is living in Los Angeles. In her childhood, when she was just at 4, she began taking ballet lessons and also performed locally. Later, she turned towards ballroom dancing and trained in standard ballroom and Latin dances. In 2002, she graduated from Menlo Atherton High School. According to her, Dancing gives her a way to express her feelings and passion and her dancing style is absolutely unique.
In 2006, she appeared in an episode of ‘The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’ along with Louis Van Amstel and Ashley Delgrosso. She was seen in May 2007 issue of ‘Stuff’ Magazine and October 2007 issue of ‘Maxim’. At the 7th Annual Filipino/American library Gala, she won the Role Model Award. She broke up with her long time date Matthew Lawrence in 2008 and admitted that she’s happily single.
