Apolo Anton Ohno is an American Short Track Speed Skating competitor and has won five medals in the Winter Olympics. He’s one of the four Americans who’re known to won three medals in a Single Winter Olympics game. He appeared as a companion of Julianne Hough in the fourth season of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and they won the title. In 2008, he won his first World championship overall title. Apolo Anton Ohno is the youngest US champion.

His mother Jerrie Lee is an American and his father, Yuki Ohno is of Japanese descent. He has one older half brother and when he was a kid, his parents divorced so he was raised by his father, a high fashion hair stylist and an owner of a salon named ‘Yuki’s Diffusion’. At 14, he developed an interest in short-track and won various competitions in his age divisions. But, he also got involved with rough guys who’re involved with drugs, and violence etc. He has also won a silver in the 1000 meter race and gold in 1500 meter race. In 2006 Winter Olympics, he won gold in 500 meter race.
