Julianne Hough, professional ballroom dancer and country music singer, is best known for her repeated appearance in ‘Dancing with the Stars’ series. In season 4, she appeared along with Apolo Anton Ohno and they both were crowned the winners. In the next season, she was paired with Helio Castroneves and they won the title.

Julianne Hough has four siblings and has a family background of dancers. Her brother Derek Hough is a professional dancer, her grandparents were dancers also. She has great dancing skills from her childhood and she started competing in dancing competitions at 9. She received training in song, theatre, gymnastics and dances including jazz, ballet and tap along with her brother and another guy named Mark, in London. The trio made their band 2B1G and they started competing in dance competitions in UK and US. She’s the youngest dancer and the only American who has won Junior World Latin Champion and International Latin Youth Champion at the ‘Blackpool Dance Festival’.

Later, she returned to US and attended Las Vegas Academy. She graduated from Alta High and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career.

In 2007, she was nominated for an Emmy Award for her choreography. She has been named one of the ‘very best dancers on the planet’ by ABC’s 20/20. In December 2007, she was signed to Mercury Nashville records. She released a single ‘Will You Dance with me’ in May, 2007 and released her first album in May, 2008.

She was previously engaged to Zach Wilson, a dancer, but they ended their relationship in May 2007. And, she was next seen publicly with Chuck Wicks, a country singer.
